Vivo is all set to bring its latest V-series smartphone, the Vivo V60, in India very soon. This new model will succeed the Vivo V50, which made its debut earlier this year in February. The company has now confirmed that the phone will officially launch in India on 12th August at 12 PM IST. While it’s not yet clear whether this will be a livestreamed event or a quiet release, interested viewers will likely be able to catch it on Vivo’s website, social media handles, and YouTube channel.
Design and Display
The Vivo V60 is coming in three color options—Auspicious Gold, Mist Grey, and Moonlit Blue. The Moonlit Blue variant will have a textured finish inspired by sea waves, which should add a premium touch. On the back, there’s a triple-camera setup arranged in a unique pill-shaped island for two lenses, with the third lens placed just outside it, above the LED flash. You’ll also notice the Vivo branding neatly placed at the bottom corner.
On the front, reports suggest a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, promising smooth visuals. The bezels look minimal, and a small hole-punch cutout at the top will house the selfie camera.
Performance and Software
The Vivo V60 will run on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset.Vivo claims improvements of up to 27% in CPU performance, 30% in GPU power, and 25% in gaming compared to the V50. The phone is expected to ship with Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, and it will also feature several AI-powered tools such as Gemini Live, AI Captions, AI Smart Call Assistant, and AI Magic Move to make daily tasks more convenient.
Cameras
Photography enthusiasts can expect a Zeiss-branded triple rear camera system. This includes a 50MP main camera with Sony IMX766 sensor and OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens with Sony IMX882 sensor, and an ultra-wide lens (details yet to be revealed). For selfies, Vivo is offering a 50MP front camera. There are also some interesting modes like Zeiss Multifocal Portrait, 10X Stage Telephoto, AI Four Season Portrait, and Wedding vLog mode for creative photography and videography.
Battery and Expected Price
One of the highlights is its massive 6,500 mAh battery, which should easily last over a day for most users.
As for pricing, leaks suggest the Vivo V60 could be priced between ₹37,000 and ₹40,000. Once launched, it should be available on Flipkart, Amazon, and Vivo’s official online store.
With its balanced mix of performance, camera upgrades, and battery life, the Vivo V60 is shaping up to be an interesting mid-premium smartphone for Indian buyers.
